Better Man

tried to read self help books by the dozen.

Tried to be, somethin’ I really wasn’t.

Tried to please you, any way I could.

It didn’t do me no good.

Then I tried squeezin’ in the latest fashions.

Yeah, my diets ran from slim fast to atkins.

Realized after taibo class.

I don’t want to make you happy that bad.

I ain’t changin’ nothin’, just to have your lovin’.

Yeah, I’m alright with who I am.

I don’t need to be a better woman.

I just need a better man.

Yeah, I need a man who loves without question.

One who sees all my flaws and imperfections.

And believes I’m exactly what he likes.

Yeah, that’s soundin’ like a little more my type.

I ain’t changin’ nothin’, just to have your lovin’.

Yeah, I’m alright with who I am.

I don’t need to be a better woman.

I just need a better man.

No, I ain’t got no problem with the woman I see.

And that woman in the mirrors got no problem with me.

I ain’t changin’ nothin’, just to have your lovin’.

Yeah, I’m alright with who I am.

I don’t need to be a better woman.

I just need a better man.

No, I don’t need to be a better woman.

I just need a better man.

I just need a better man.
